Our long awaited plant and seed swap is scheduled for this week on Thursday morning at Beth’s house. Feel free to come and make up your own planters of herbs, any time between 9:00am and 1:00pm. And if you have any extra seeds and/or seedlings or plants, pots and extra potting material - bring them on. We can divvy up the loot, and give all the plants space to grow. We can also combine several herbs into planters as gifts.
The following will be provided as long as they last:
• crowded seedlings looking for homes (dill, basil, onions, swiss chard, salad greens, okra, pepper, beans, peas, tomatoes, etc.
• extra seeds for those wanting to start their own (flower or veggie garden)
• empty (small) plastic pots
• soil, and compost, and pot filler
• labels (popsicle sticks), markers and envelopes for seeds
• coffee and tea, and something to munch on
RSVP
("Répondez s'il vous plaît")
We would appreciate a count, so please email Beth back if you can make it by anytime between 9am and 1pm for some of the fun. I live a block away from Hill Country Middle School, and I will email back my exact address and directions to those who reply. The outlook for Thursday is partly cloudy with a high of 80F and a low of 68F – sounds perfect.
