I'm all for less packaging on every product from Toothpaste to Tonka Trucks, from Avocadoes to Advertising:
Greenpeace has got it figured out already:
"Say it isn’t so! Ken & Barbie are over, and it’s all because of Mattel's dependency on packaging from Asia Pulp & Paper. Asia Pulp & Paper has beehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifn driving Indonesian rainforest destruction at alarming rate to make their products. That is not only polluting our climate, but it’s pushing wildlife like the Sumatran tiger towards extinction. Less than half of Indonesia’s rainforests remain because of companies like Asia Pulp & Paper.
Barbie's pretty packaging is driving rainforest destruction, plain and simple. But it doesn’t have to be that way. We can save the Sumatran tigers from extinction. But we’ve got to act now.
Watch our video and send your letter to Mattel right now to dump Asia Pulp & Paper and protect Indonesia’s rainforests!"
